About the Course
The Secret Teachings of All Ages is a book celebrated for being a deep and meaningful look into comparative philosophy, religion, myth, and science.
As beloved as it has been for almost 100 years, however, some of its most profound wisdom and teachings have gone untapped, as it was written for audiences who already had important contextual information about the symbols, myths, and metaphors permeating the text. In the present day, this context is not so commonly known and therefore a lot of the meaning is lost on contemporary readers. To remedy this, we are offering an online course to unpack several core ideas, the understanding of which will help readers' experiences with the book blossom and deepen. Students will have a greater appreciation for and understanding of its densely educational illustrations and any esoteric paradigms they explore from here on out.
Each module of the 7-week course will involve two video lectures: one explaining the basic ideas of esoteric philosophy via a simple interpretation of the Isis/Osiris myth, and a second one applying these ideas to The Secret Teachings of All Ages itself, primarily using its symbolic illustrations to elucidate processes and practices shared across many cultures throughout time.
Students are not required to have or intend to read the book (but it sure does make it more fun!), as these ideas of comparative religions, philosophies, and secret societies are explained on their own basic merits.
